Your picture of the buck reminds me that on my next to last visit to BGC, while I was walking down the trail I happened to startle a very large buck with a very impressive rack that was sitting just off of the trail. I froze...he froze and we looked at each other for a few seconds until it dissappeared into the forest...That was pretty cool!

Yes I know what you mean there about running into deer in any of the forest preserves. The pic ZI have posted was from Little Red School House.
