can spirits mimic the voice of someone alive

Can spirits mimic the voice of someone alive? I took some evps at my house, actually, left the recorder on all night, and it seems the voices I hear on there is from someone alive who lives here, but insists its not them.
now, there are some unexplainable voices on there I have yet to figure out, but can they do that?

I have heard more then once, Yes they can.

YES, evil spirits try to get to you that way.  They try to pretend to be a passed friend or relative so that they can get your trust.
