Hi there,

I too have had an infatuation with BG.  However, I have always thought that one could not go there without getting into trouble.  Can anyone go there during the day?  If so, I am on my way in the very near future.  Also, just one quick question.  How come no one from those paranormal shows have ever done a show from there?  Is it hard to get permission?  Just wondering.

By the way, just signed up for this site last night.  Awesome.

DH

You can go to BG during the day. It is definitely NOT recommended to go at night...

I haven't been there yet either.... but seeing all the stories and pictures makes me want to take off work right now, and head down there. Looks like a gorgeous day outside, perfect for "playing"...

:welcome:   Welcome to our site, Dhermo!!

Yes, Bachelor's Grove cemetery is open every day for visitors. The only possible trouble you might find there during the day is trouble from other people but I have been going there for years and have never had any trouble with anyone.
Usually everyone that I meet is very friendly and open to conversations and telling stories of what happened to them at the cemetery.
Just for your information though, do not go at night. As the cemetery is in part of the forest preserve it is closed at sunset and the police look to arrest nightly visitors and charge them with trespassing.

As for the tv shows not coming here to film, I have no idea why but I am hearing something whispering in the wind that may soon change that!

Enjoy your visit to our favorite cemetery but I must ask you to please be respectful of this place.

Welcome guys. My first trip to BG was at night, it is completely different than going during the day, but also very illegal. If such things don't bother you, I suggest going. The woods feel like they're closing in on you, very creepy.

Hey all...thanks for the responses.  I definitely do not want to go there at night.  Not because of the legality of it, but because I admit I would be too creeped out.  I am going to check it out very soon though, maybe this weekend as the weather warms.  And no worries about being respectful there.  Just want to go and take some pics and see what I can see.

I am hoping that someday they will do a show from there.  It would be great to see.

Take care all.

Dan

Hi Dan,
Have a good time at the Grove and good luck with your hunting. I hope you are able to catch something on film.
I am sure with the weather warming up more and more of us will start visiting the grove again, it is like an obsession with us! lol

I also hope to see a show taped at the grove soon.

Take care,
James
