Hello,
I ran across this article and and found it interesting that the Humphrey's were connected with Bachelor's Grove.

I've never been to any abandoned houses before, but I've always wanted to. That one sounds really interesting! Does anyone know where in Orland it's located? And you're allowed to just walk in the house? You couldn't be charged with tresspassing or anything, could you?

Mark.. the address is listed in the article, and it sounds like it is open for tours and such, and is not abandoned. If it was abandoned I would be on my way there right now :)

Well, isnt that just like me to skim right over important details like that! LOL
But yeah I did a little research on it and realized that it wasn't abandonded and that its open for tours. So I guess what I'm wondering is if you can just walk in whenever or if you can only go during a scheduled tour.

I just made arrangements today when i was out there and met the owners to setup a DVR surveillance system and digital recorders next Saturday in there for 24 hours untended.........

Aten I have no doubt that I would love Chicago! I have visited there twice and I vowed then that someday I would move there. That was a good many years ago. Of course these days my interests are very different but I know I would still love it.

I have received the approval of having an Over Nighter at the Humphrey House (they asked me), with about 12 people. I have to decide on the date etc... and if I want to do that or what else I have planned to do there.
As was stated by the Historian of The Humphrey House, the Spirit of Mr. Humphrey and I don't get along, as witnessed in the past when I have had others there and do what I do, but that allows others to experience the Spirits in the house.

Because Mr. Humphrey (as historians tell it), was the type that expected all to bow down to his authority because of the power he held in the land. Knowing that, I have to tap into what would of upset him in the living, to get him to respond in the Spiritual. It's been observed in the past. Otherwise he is kind of non-active there, with groups.

Hey Ghost thats cool you are able to run the cameras all week hopefully you will catch some good footage. I told my neighbor about it and he thinkds ot`s a cool thing to do.

The pic that Rachael took...well the girl looks on the chubby side.The black and white photo looks nothing like her.Just my opinion.

My vote is Yay for the pics looking similar. They don't look exactly alike but they look similar enough that it could be the difference in the color/black n white photos. I look completely different in black n white photos. So I'm thinking they do look alike. But that's just another opinion.

This coming Saturday night after the Capone's haunted location, I will be entering Humphrey House to see if I can stir Mr. Humphrey up.. for the camera's John has set up.

This is an EVP I found from the Humphrey House, It was about 4am in the morning and no one was in the house the entire night. It sounds Like its saying BEN,,, but it could be something else too, not sure. It is very faint, but a voice is definitely present.

Here is another evp i just found, its in the attic, the last evp was in the attic also. Its a male voice, I looped it four times, im not sure what its saying.
I do here something there for sure, but i can't tel what it was?

I really dont like posting evps that are not grade A, so I apologize if the last two I posted were hard to hear, The audio always is better directly from my pc-software and then I go to render or upload and the audio sounds totally different. Anyways this recording is not an EVP it is a very loud Bang that happened around 5:20am in the attic, It could be a box or something falling, did someone push it, or throw it??? John and I know its no one human, its not a fire cracker outside because none of the other three recorders picked it up, so its coming from the attic room, John has yet to look at the footage to see what really happened. Until then, here is the audio. Lets hope John finds something in the video, that would be sweet!!!!!!!!!

Matt when I was at the Humphrey house last night and Ed did the circle of energy there was a bang that came from upstairs and we were all in the parlor where they had the wakes. Honestly is sounded very simular to the EVP you have here.

Thats very strange, unless they have raccoons in the attic which i doubt, we would have seen droppings on the floor, I hope we get something on video.

Here is a short clip from the surveillance video at the Humphery House in Orland. There is a pulsating Orb moving in a straight line from the top right to the lower left. It might not seem like much, however the camera has IR emitters which cause all the light you see, If a bug or dust floated or flew by it would be in the light the whole time?
So, I'm not 100% why this one is doing this...... The IR light isn't going on and off, so why is the Orb blinking. Say it was a lighting bug (which it's not) the bugs body would glow from the IR light the whole time not just when the bug lights up?

Ghost, if you ask me... It looks like something disc-shaped is falling, turning over as it falls... Picture a coin flipped in the air, how it turns over... It moves at a fairly consistent speed, and only seems to "pulse" when it moves into the center of the IR vision, which lends me to believe it's something falling... Perhaps a chip of paint or something similar.
Isn't this in the basement of the house? If so, there's a lot of stuff that could fall.
Just my thoughts.

That is the up stairs attic, nothing above it to fall....And even if it did the IR emitters would light it up even from it's side. Also thing don't fall slowly at a angle?

matts evp and your video were two seperate incedents in the same evening correct :055confused: anything in the same time frame as Matts his sounds like a door slamming and yours Ghost difinely looks like something moving around up there some form of energy .Very interesting.... =D>

This is a clip from Johns recorder that I placed in Mr. Humphrey's office, Its just a loud snap, but why are there so many loud bangs and noises in this house? Its not an evp but interesting none the less.

Yeah, that is loud and very clear.....I wonder what the heck it is? Do you know the time by any chance??

According to the time set on the recorder, the noise occurred around 11:20pm, give or take 10 to 15 minutes. Hope that helps. Lets hope we catch something. I know we didnt have a camera in the office but maybe the other cameras caught something.
