Hi all,
I'm looking for ideas for a new group paranormal trip, It's going to be hard to beat the Waverly trip though. But lets see what we can come up with?
-
Resurrection cemetery
-
Bartonville Asylum in Peotone - http://www.prairieghosts.com/barton.html (http://www.prairieghosts.com/barton.html) It's private property, but perhaps some conversing with the owner could net results.
Lincoln Theatre in Decatur - http://www.haunteddecatur.com/lincoln.html (http://www.haunteddecatur.com/lincoln.html)

Waverly Again?

If I were there and could go I would vote for Resurection Cemetary. :*:
-
is that the cemetary with ressurection Mary? My aunt works at a bar down the road and she says that she has seen her once and that she freaked out and got into her car and left very quickly.

Welcome to the boards svcavazos! That sounds like an intersting event. Any other details about what she looked like or what she was wearing or exactly were
she was at and what she was doing?

How about Fargo Mansion in Lake mills Wisconsin . Originally owned by one of the Wells Fargo team (obviously Fargo) .The story is he had an affair with a relative brought in to tend to his ailing wife , thinking his wife was dying but she recovered so he murdered her. They say she haunts the house and she had two pet bears that stayed out side in a pit and they haunt the gardens. It is now a bed an breakfast but the haunting supposedly continue.

Well, if you're interested in Resurrection, why not do a whole Archer Tour?
Start at Mt. Olivet & Elmhurst in Joliet, then travel north on IL 171 (Archer) to Palos Hills Memorial Gardens, up to St James, then a little farther to Fairmount (can stop at Maple Lake nearby, see if you can spot the ghost light over the lake), make a pitstop at Lithuanian & Archer Woods cemeteries, and finish the day at Resurrection.

That sounds like a plan hitting multiple places I vote for this one.

I've never known of that story Scaryd. It looks like a beautiful mansion. And I'm sure that in it's day it was one of the biggiest in town! That guy had to be very wealthy. How sad that someone can have so much good fortune in their lives and still be so unhappy that they feel they have to kill someone off in order to have a full life. How can anyone even think that they will live a happy and enriched life once they have taken another persons life away from them? They prolly didn't have divorce back then but there is always a better solution than murder. Heck, with all of that money he could have bought the other girl a house next door and just found a lot of broken stuff to have to work on all day long over there...... lol
Oh yeah ....back to the subject at hand. I would love to spend a night in that Bed and Breakfast!!

Aux Sable Cemetery

Aux Sable Cemetery
That could be a trip, but it's only 45 minutes away...but it is a cool place. I got a great EVP there.
-
I`m up for this one as i`ve never been there before and we talked about going there Ghost if you remember. I`m sure there are some other places in the area we could check out as well. I do know Chief Shabbona is buried in the cemetery in Morris and it`s next to the I&M Canal path. :Y:
-
The cemeteries at Bartonville are pretty neat. I'd love to be able to go into the asylum before they turn into office space! What is the most someone would pay for something like this?
-
Bartonville is privately owned, so the major hurdle would be getting permission to be on the property.
-
Hey, how about here.....been dying to check this out and I forgot all about it till now.
Zombie Road
Near St. Louis, MO, the "Zombie Road" is a stretch of dirt road that many consider to be haunted. Local law enforcement has found animal sacrifices from satanic rituals in abandoned structures due to this reputation. But the truth is that it does actually appear to be haunted!

Lets do it!!
-
If we go, I'm riding with Ghost.
See! I've already called it! :victory:
-
if we go , could we be there at night without trouble from the law?
-
Well, if it's a road, then there's no reason that LE should have a kitten about a handful of people walking up and down it taking pictures, videos, EVP...
If it crosses private property, then it becomes an issue. Of if it's part of a government-owned plat, like a forest preserve or a nature reserve...

I had not seen this post and a few minutes ago I just posted on another thread that Zombie Road would be a good trip. What part of the country is it in? Of course I will look it up but if I have to come to Chicago and drive some place with you guys and I actually make there then I call riding with Rachael. Not that I don't luv luv luv that beautiful car that Ghost1 has and not that I don't luv Ghost1 but I just wanna ride with my buddy Rachael and leave you guys alone to fart and burp together...... gri Were are my other buds Marion, Gina and Heather on this one? Do you guys wanna go to Zombie Road :camping:
-
Aw, I'm flattered Colleen!
However, I think we would both have to hitch with Ghost1, my car is trying very hard to fall apart right now. But Zombie Road does look fun!
-
Zombie Road is located outside St. Louis...
And if you guys are thinking of claiming Ghost's car, I want you all to remember that I had called shotgun on August 20th, at 10:42pm...
And I've also taken a screenshot in case any moderators get itchy EDIT button fingers... /evil grin
-
Hey I'm all for the back seat EZ ! I get my best sleep on a road trip.....LOL It's the 2nd best cure for insomnia there is.... :giggle2: It'll be fun. The 4 banditos! wh

Your spoiled rotten EZ.....

I would love to go to Zombie road. But I probably can't make it.
-
Like I told Dawn, next year after Waverly Hills, I want to see it, and I don't see anything wrong with at least driving by and getting somewhat close to it? Of course I would probably be intrigued to go down that road and probably end up getting arrested. The cops take all the fun out of everything, of course other people ruin it for us people that just want to go and take pictures :X. I wouldn't mind seeing where it is at, at least. Nothing wrong with that right?
-
I'm getting more intrigued on Zombie Road by the more research I do on it. I found this video on YouTube that I think has something to do with Zombie Road:
http://www.youtube.com/v/u2uTveMJH14 (http://www.youtube.com/v/u2uTveMJH14)
I definitley want to at least find out where it is at, and see how close you can get to it without getting introuble. I keep reading that Zombie Road is actually about kids that got murdered here, or something along those lines. I'm thinking this is the same thing, but not 100% sure. I think we all should take a trip down there, then we can get arrested together!
