Title: Werewolves
Post by: spookypooky on Aug 17 2008 - 04:19AM
Is the history of these creatures due to the full moon, lore, and acting out by humans? Or was the werewolf real? cher

Has anyone else here read anything by Laurell K. Hamilton?  If not (and you can deal with the rather graphic nature of her writing, both in gore and sexual nature - LOL) and are into werewolves and/or vampires, you should check out her "Anita Blake" series.  OMG - I have become ABSOLUTELY addicted to this woman's books, and have read every single one from both of her series... there's about 25 of them total!!   :Y:

I can't wait till I have the time to check out those books MM. They sound great to me. Ann Rice is one of my favorite authors and not just because of her vampire chronicles. I didn't even know about those for years while I was reading all of her true crime stories. She (like Patricia Cromwell) had every job from Ted Bundy's political coleague to being on staff at a Forensic Pathologists lab. I don't think that she had the education that Cromwell does but never-the-less has had all of the life experiences. I hadn't heard of your author till now! And I finally hired someone last week and actually had 3 lovely days off from work and I might even have time to read now...(knock on wood)

Yes... the Anita Blake (well, and her other series, based on a half-human, half-faerie princess) are rather sexual...  It is almost borderline pornographic at times, but yet somehow never manages to cross *that* line!!

Besides, her descriptions of characters and such makes it impossible to NOT get a visual on the wide variety that are in these books.

A *fantastic* read - I PROMISE that of you aren't squeamish of the blood and sex...  Heh... then you will NOT be unsatisfied!!   =D>
