I bought this clown at a store called "Things & Stuff." I don't know why anybody wouldn't want to have this in their house.
-
LOL My daughter would SO hate that thing!! :Y:
-
I...can't...even...MAKE...myself...watch...that. *shivers*
Clowns are NOT my friend. No way.
Especially since one tried to run me off the road while in high school. Eek!
-
I don't know why I just watched that.
I'm off to curl up in the fetal position in a corner for a few hours......
*shudder*
Clowns are not my friend.

Wow, I'm shaking both of my fists right now.
One at YOU, for sending me there.
One at ME, for going to it. What a dork I am.
I'm cool with clowns as long as Tim Curry is underneath the makeup.
The rest of em can stick it! I was fine until I saw Poltergeist, it all went downhill from there.

I sooooooooo dreaded opening this thread but then I saw that it was Colleen and not Ghost that started it and figured Colleen would never scare the beejesus out of me (unlike SOMEONE else wh ) I have to admit I did not watch the videos. But I just wanted to let you know Colleen, I did in fact open up your thread LOL
-
Ghost1, that was hysterical! =D> I love scary looking clowns. They make me laugh. Have you ever seen 'Shakes The Clown'? That movie is awesome!
-
I agree and can see how clowns are frightening. However, reading "IT" in 4th grade probably didn't help. They are almost mysterious due to the different personalities each one has. That doll you have Colleen is freaky! That voice is straight out of a horror flick!

I'm not EVEN going to TRY and convince myself that I can handle following that link. Nope, sorry, not gonna happen.
How sad is it that I can deal with alleviating a POSSESION, but canNOT for the life of me be around clowns (or to look at a photo of an intentionally creepy one) without having a panic attack?!?
Oh! And I TOTALLY agree with Rachael on the Tim Curry point... though maybe it's the fact that I thought he was strangely HOT in Rocky Horror?? ROFL emb
-
This topic is going WAY off course. But I have to say: Tim Curry IS strangely hot (especially in Rocky Horror Picture Show)! :Y:
-
He's hot in everything.
But there's just something extra special about watching spank his own bum in Rocky :) Yummy.
To bring it back to topic.
Uhhhh.... clowns are bad, Mmmmkay?
-
ROTFLMAO LOL che =D>

Hey MM....you never said how, who or why a clown tried to run you off the road in High School! What the heck was that all about? cho :*:
-
Yikes! I didn't, did I?
Hmm...
Okay. I'm thinking it was either my senior year of high school or abouts... I had just turned onto our street and was driving my little silver '90 Corolla home, with my boyfriend at the time in the passenger seat, when we spotted a large white panel van obviously BARRELING down the street headed towards us. Now, I live on a residential, 30-mph side street without sidewalks... each side of the road has some degree of a ditch to it, and THIS particular part of street had *very* deep ditches - like ROLLOVER IN YOUR CAR - type ditches. Well, anyways...
I slowed the car down a bit, and pulled as far over to the right side of the street as possible without tumbling us into someone's front yard... and the van kept getting closer. I was terrified, because he was in the very *center* of the pretty narrow road, and did NOT look to be letting off the gas OR moving back over to his side. In fact, he got a bit closer, and inched FURTHER into heading *directly* for my car! I stopped the car & froze, not knowing whether to risk actually getting OUT of the car or just sitting there, hoping the manic would finally realize, WOW! I'm driving like a lunatic!!
As the van approached, the driver leaned his head out the window and started laughing rather maniacally... the driver was dressed as a clown. He barrelled towards the front of my little car, swerving at the *last possible second* before flying past us, STILL laughing the entire time.
I was MORTIFIED. I couldn't even drive the last block and a half to my house, so I had to let the BF drive the rest of the way. I was, obviously, SOBBING... because even BEFORE THEN, I had been rather terrified of clowns.
As for the creepy clown driver on 295... that's another story for another night. Heh. :V:

Hi,new member. I was wondering,is this actualy your clown? As in you brought that creepy thing into your home? And it did THAT?I would die a horrible twitching death if that happened in my home! You did get rid of it right? ter

Hello MRAMSEY! Very nice to meet you and Welcome Sign to the site.
No it wasnt ever my clown. I got that video from "youtube" and the quote came from the poster on "youtube" also. I'm not quite sure why I posted it that way without quotes and not even in a different color text than usual. Usually if it is a quote I will post it in opaque and if it is me talking then it's in pink or green. The way that I posted it did look as though it was my clown and/or my video. Sorry bout that.
Again it is nice to have you as a member of the forum. I know that you have been for a bit and I apologize that I am just now meeting you. emb

I had a pretty bad fear of clowns when I was a little kid. I was pretty young, 7 or 8, and I went to the circus with my Dad and brother. The clown parade was going by and all the little kids ran to the front row to watch. I was enjoy watching the clowns when one of them carring a tv set in his arms came right in front of me. Well, that instant my clownphobia started; a clown jumped out of the tv set, with his arms outstretched, right at me! Yes, it was pretty freaky! I think it was one guy carrying the tv set but the top part of him was fake and that he was walking around bent over popping out of the tv. Whatever it was it was traumatizing! Of course for about the last ten years I was performing as a circus sideshow entertainer. Luckily I did not have to work around clowns, but occasionally I had a gig they were hired at too. I still don't like them! Clowns just try way too hard to entertain!
