I'm still going through pictures and I haven't even started on videos yet..........However here is a very interesting EVP that we cough that appears to say "I'm going to kill you" I'm not much fro EVP's myself, however this one is pretty clear and really got my attention. This was taken by BobbyBuka.

well....I wasn't really thrilled with being told by some otherworldly entity that it was going to kill me, but I think it's because I had annoyed it...
I never really had done any EVP work before, and I don't think I was giving the entities any time to answer my questions. I kind of have this habit of annoying people....I guess ghosts aren't much different than everybody else.

OMGosh!! That is awesome!!!! It sounds more like I'll kill you than "I'm going to kill you" to me anyway but either way it is an awesome EVP!! I do EVP work all the time but I haven't gotten a thing! In all the years that I've been doing it. Which is only about a year actually so that statement was misleading but it's been a long time and I haven't gotten anything yet but I love listening to other ppl's evp's. This is one of the best that I have ever heard from someone that I actually know! It's crazy!! I love it! Wish I could have been there.! che che

Good catch, that sure as heck has a mist there......and there was no mist to be seen by the naked eye. Nor in any of my 150 pictures, if that mist was anything real I would have got it too.
There was no fog, and it wasn't even cold enough for breath and none of us smoked.......Great catch :Y:

I don't quite see that. Highlight it.....But save it as another picture. Do not alter your originals in any way, or the data in the photo will show "edited" if I run it though my software.
We get that a lot, no one can see something till the poster highlights it..............Then it's like, Oh there it is :)

There is some odd shading right there, that doesn't look like the rest of the surrounding area....But I can't make out a man. I'll run it through my enhancing software later tonight and see if I can bring something out.

Ok, I looked at this picture for hours, and there is a weird shading in your circle. I highlighted the shadow in orange.....but look at the red circle, there appears to be a faint face of a animal there?
This could all just be tree shadows and lighting effects though................see what you all think of it?
BTW, If this is something Seth must have a great eye to see this.....because it's so very faint.

I took over 150 myself, plus video and EVP's.....However so far I haven't really found much. I'm still looking though. The way we where all clicking pictures we should come up with something you would think? I did find one with a weird mist though, not as clear as the one Seth found though.

OK, so here is a photo I wanted to share. I received no support from Bob and Seth and this one, but I see a strange face. It looks like an old bearded man. Like an old pirate or something. Does ANYONE else see this? I'm sure it's just the tree, but what do you all think?
I see what your talking about, however I think it's just the trees and shadows. It doesn't stick out from the background at all......Sorry, I would love to say yeah...great find. Keep looking though, you guys must have a few hundred picture between all of you.

Here is the one I was talking about that looks like it has a fine mist forming or dissipating. It was very clear that day, and there was nothing like this to be seen.....to warn for fog, and no one was smoking.
Like I said though, it's very fine nothing as clear as the mist Seth found. (out done by a newbie)
There's a good chance this is nothing too............But you guys (maggpie) want to see pictures. wh

As far as the pirate I do actually see what Steve is talking about but I think it is the tree as well as I think Ghost1's little man in the tree is just part of the tree and I think the mist is just the way the sunlight is hitting the ground. It doesn't matter...I like seeing the pictures and seeing what everyone else is thinking. No one hardly see's what I see either so post away guys and don't take my word for it.
However I think that Bobby and I may just be kindred spirits cause he see's my shadow guy.....LOL che

When I wrote the first part of this I had not even looked at the big pictures yet.,... I had just reacted to the small pictures before enlarging them...lol So when I looked at the enlargements I was even more impressed!! You can see the teethe....every individual tooth!!!! I mean this is one heck of a paranormal photo! It can't be a rock ... it can't be a stone.... it can't be light shining thru the grass or trees.... it can't be a tree! IT'S A FACE!! NO IF'S AND'S OR BUT'S ABOUT IT! IT'S A FACE! Sorry... I'm over whelmed! I love this picture!

yeah - we've moved onto the pictures from the disposable cameras now (54 of these in all) - and we're seeing a lot more in these....
so I'm guessing it's because the quality isn't as good as the digital pictures? (so just more chance for undefinable shapes and shadows?)

Well, I'm still looking through all the pictures we have from the trip to Bachelor's Grove, and not close to being done, (just picked up the discs from Walgreen's today from the two disposable cameras we used in fact and haven't even started looking at those) but I had to post this one. If you look close you can see three very clear demonic presences in the shape of men. I include a second photo in which I circle them, in case you can't find them in the original picture. They appear to be walking and talking. Perhaps they know each other? Perhaps they are aware of each other's presences? Eerie!

I believe it's just the tree trunk, look at the picture I have here. The red outline is the tree in the front, the blue outline is the tree in the background. On the bottom of the blue one is the base of the red one in the foreground which is making it look different....does that make since?

That was my very first "professional" hunt, and absolutely my first time to Bachelor's Grove after reading about it for years on the internet...I honestly was a little "uneasy" about going there at first, too, and that's why I started posting on this board - but Steve, Seth and I have been to a lot of "locations" in Southern Wisconsin (where we live) - we even had "attempted" some EVP when we first bought our creepy old farmhouse, but we really didn't have any success.
So yeah - that EVP is pretty impressive to me...and you're right, I would have been better with a happy friendly voice saying "Welcome to Bachelor's Grove, Bob!" or something like that!

I'm just really curious. Did anyone think to say a protection prayer or any kind of protection ceremony at all? You know that even your most scientific of ghost hunters believe in protection ceremonies. And if you believe in spirits then you have to believe that some of them can be a little dangerous.

I'm not trying to scare anyone nor do I want to preach religion. I don't even want anyone to do something just because I say to.
The only problem with that philosophy (from my view)(which is only a personal belief and nothing more) I have no credentials in this field nor have I been witness to any demonic happenings. But from my perspective the problem with a non-human demonic spirit is that they will not always show themselves to you right away. At first your personality might change ever so slightly so that only those closest to you might notice anything even different. You will be plagued by feelings that you don't understand. You may have visions of doing harm to your partner but will not want to talk about them or even think about them as they are something you will not want to admit to even yourself. At first you will deny that anything is different ..... your just tired or overworked or you need to change your diet. You'll tell yourself anything to try and convince yourself that nothing is wrong. After a while if your loved ones are trying to help you then they will confront you about the changes and the mood swings. Some of the things that they will tell you will not seem to register with you and you will not remember doing them. You might begin to think they are lying to you and or conspiring against you. The demonic spirit will feed you these thoughts without you even realizing it.....especially when you don't believe this can happen. Eventually the demonic might be able to convince you to move away and not tell anyone were you are so that no one can help you. Or it could make life so miserable for the ones around you that if they can't convince you to do something about it then they might move away from you and your left all alone with the demonic. There are many many stories like this from trusted and sane people who have visited cemetarys without protection. For the most part cemetarys are benign and pose no threat but why take a chance on it when all you have to do to keep them from attatching themselves to you is to tell them that they are not welcome to accompany you out of the cemetary. This usually works Some of us believe that this works with the lower class demonics but we are leery of the higher up class and feel we need the protection of our Lord's Angels.
Even if you don't believe it and/or not afraid of anything....... you could bring this type of thing home to your loved ones and the role can become reversed. You could be the one noticing changes in someone you care about but having no luck in convincing them that anything is wrong you are left with the decision of what to do next. And that is not a good feeling. Why take a chance with the lives of the people that you care about when it is very simple to look back over your shoulder and say "do not follow me home."
Please don't take this the wrong way. Cause if you choose not to do this then I will not flinch a muscle or bat an eye at you. I am no Bible Thumper either. I believe that is a personal decision and the only one who is allowed to judge me is God and he's not talkin right now so I'm definitely not doing talking to you for that reason. It's just that I have no way to help any of my friends if something like this did happen to them and I have heard enough and read enough that I already know how helpless I would feel. Therefore the only thing that I can do is to tell them what I think before it happens so that they can have all the info that I have and the power to change their mind if they want to. If at that point that friend decides that there is no risk after he/she has had the chance to think about all the possibilities then I know that I did what I could and the decision is wholey up to them now. I have been trying to hunt down some of the stories that I have read about were these things happen but so far I haven't found the ones that I thought were the credible ones. There is one that was on a documentary show that I watch. Have you ever watched "A Haunting" on the documentary channel? They are about "true stories". I posted one today but I can't find the one were there ghost hunter takes her son with her because it's a cemetary and they are almost always benign. She is a debunker, a skeptic and an a police officer. She is a ghost hunter that is trying to disprove the paranormal but has seen a lot. Nothing that would equal what happens after the trip to the cemetary when her son is possessed by a demonic though. I really want to find this one and post it for you guys to see. After that if I am the only one saying a protection prayer or utilizing a protection ceremony then hopefully when I'm there it will cover ya'll too.... :)

And you are not alone in your beliefs. There are many many people who believe exactly the same as you. I tend to believe some place in the middle. Man is definitely born with an ability to be so very evil. But I also believe that there are things out there in the other realm that like to influence us and manipulate our feelings so that we get confused and then eventually they are able to take over.

I just wanted you to be armed with all the facts and foybles so that you would give it some thought. But you seem like a very level headed person and I would go ghost hunting with you anytime. :^:

Ok, now this is really weird. I was playing with the famous "I want to kill you" EVP that BobbyBuka made. I adjusted the pitch and speed a bit, I tried different setting just for kicks. Now as strange as this sounds, I think it now says "I Love You Too"
I made a very slight adjustment, so little that Bob's voice still sounds the same......But the EVP has changed bigtime!
It went from "I want to kill you" to "I love you too"................See what you all think?

It doesn't sound sarcastic to me at all, it's just so clear too...............Like I said it just blew my mind. Before this you where saying we mean you no harm, we just want to talk, maybe it was a responce to that? I really don't know, I just know that this is the clearest EVP I have every heard.
I was so freaked out when I heard it, that I saved it and forgot to write down the settings I used to hear it in the first place....I'm trying to recreate it again right now. I'm very new to EVP's and this is the first time I've ever tried to play with one. I just adjusted the speed and the pitch and this is what i got!
And I thought it might have been sound from setting the recorder down too, however now I don't think so at all.....It talks before you set it on the gravestone.

The changes I made where very small. I changed the rate from 44100Hz to 9600Hz and the speed from 00 to -26. That is a very small change, the speed is what made the big difference.............And it's obvious that it did, the voice is now more natural and clear.
I have read on quite a few sites that it is quite normal to have to reduce the speed of a EVP to understand it, and also change the rate a little. That is why I tried it today, because I had read about it.
This is a quote from the Ghost Study website talking about how to record and edit EVP"S:
Speed:
Sometimes the EVP is spoken very fast and it is necessary to slow it down to understand what is being said. To do this you need to use the “Change Speed” option that is found by selecting “Effect” and then “Change Speed”. The speed is set by percentages. I recommend starting with a –15% (negative 15 percent). You do this by sliding the slider to the left until -15 shows up in the box. Do a preview first, and then click “OK” if you are happy with it.

I don't know much about the technical side of EVP. But I have been listening to EVP's for many years and I have a huge collection from the spiricom voice box website. For about a year I spent the majority of my time listening to conversations between this doctor and his dead friends. I can say that power of suggestion can play a part. Often I would listen to a recording that was very garbled and could not make out anything until I read the transcripts and then suddenly that's what i would hear. once I read the wrong transcript and I thought that was what was being said. When I read the correct conversation my mind continued to hear the first version. Qu
I still cannot hear "I'll kill you dead" I knew that I could hear something but I couldn't make it say that. I thought perhaps it was because I had only heard it played online. Sometimes you even have to use high quality ear phones to be able to hear something after it's been put on a website. Again I don't have an explanation of why or how but on some websites they will even tell you what kind of earphones to use and the recordings will be so much more clear.
Ghost1 is correct of course. When recording with difital or casset type recorders you almost always have to manipulate the speed to understand the message. With the spiricom box (frank's box, voice box, ghost box and so on) you can most times hear what is being said right there on the spot and that is what is so great about them verses the recorders.
I don't want anyone to think that I am giving any kind of advice here or trying to say what is or is not on the tape. It's super clear now after Ghost1 fiddled with it just a wee bit. I only wanted to add my 2 cents is all. I wouldn't know a Hz if it bit me on the um shoulder. :)

-when we recorded that, it was just me and my nephew right at the Neuman grave....I think both John and Steve were near, though, and I think Dan was off somewhere else on his own....is that the way you guys remember it? Was it just Seth and me right at the grave then?
So I'm wondering now....John (or Colleen or Tenbears or anybody else) - is there some other website where that clip can be posted? Here's what I'm thinking.....I wonder if the clip can just be posted someplace where the people haven't read all of this that we've already been saying about it, and can they just be asked what they hear on the tape?

Well I would suggest the Paranormal State forums. I would say that right at this time that is the busiest site on and you would get a lot of play and a ton of opinions. Just my suggestion. I'm sure there is a forum better qualified for EVP work but I just think that in this case what we need is volume more than qualified opinions. The websites that I used to listen to have been around forever but don't get a lot of traffic for some reason.

That is weird, take a pretty clear EVP and adjust the speed a bit and get a even better EVP that says a totally different thing? I diffidently believe the new slowed down one is right, it sounds so natural and clear. Great job on this one Ghost. =D>

That's weird if she is referring to the one before you changed the speed because that's what I always thought it said but I was reluctant to say so because everyone else was hearing "I'll kill you". Now the final one that has been changed there can be no question as to what it says.... I love you too. No doubt in my opinion.
Unless she meant the other one, the second one posted there is the "I love you too" one?

Theory is that spirits exist in a different frequency, so what we hear may be affected by that vibration. An associate of mine is great and adjusting pitch/speed (pitch seems to make the most difference) and making EVPs much more legible
This is also what I heard, that is why I adjusted the pitch/speed.

That's an interesting theory. I did try reducing the speed of an evp once cos I got what sounded like a goat bleating and i knew there were no goats about for sure, slowed it down and it sounded like a babies cry...... we were recording at a babies grave at the time.
Either way, it doesn't matter to me which version of the evp posted here is how it should sound, both versions gave me the shivers!!!! *shudders*

Audio programs used Audacity 1.3.4, WavePad Masters Edit,Wavosaur
Set rate 32000 -44100 in stereo mode

Ok, here is the newest responce to our EVP. This time the poster even included a audio file of what he thinks he hears.... Now we have three different version of the same EVP, and they all sound pretty clear!

Wow this is the first time that I've been able to hear the I'll kill you part and with this version I can so hear it! But then with John's version I can clearly hear " I Love You Too" or "2" . That's crazy! Perhaps there were 2 entities there on 2 different wave lengths and one was negative and one was positive and we can hear both of them depending on what speed that we listen to it at. ?????

Yeah, I think she might be on to something? That would explain why there are two very clear defined things being said depending on the playback speed and MHz......Very interesting indeed!
I just posted this theory on GhostStudy a few minutes ago for some more input on it.
This would explain a lot, also I think it would be a first for EVP's too! :Y:

Oh Bobby that was sweet of you. Don't worry though I have fun making fun of myself :) But it's true that usually even when I think it's a good idea no one else does. A few years ago here at work I had a good idea but everyone said "aw that won't work" even the owner and then about a year later he implemented the idea into our protocol and everyone praised him.....ugh I'm not bitter. And I have nothing behind my back. ;)

There is nothing wrong in enhancing what is there and making more clearly an EVP.You'll hear the same words in a sentence even if it slowed down.You won't hear the same words if I alter a sentence.Logical.
I think that this "being" would respond "I love you too" if it was told "I love you" from the member,there.
The "I love your children" doesn't stand (only if this being knew that the member had children)
"I'm going to kill you" or "I'm gonna kill him" sounds more logical,as the member is "intruding" in a way.......
Even in the original EVP there are more syllables than 3 ("I Hate You")
There's nothing wrong with removing background noises and altering the speed etc etc and you cant "create" something that is not there (only if your intension's are those)
Even EVP's have logical forms of speech,male-female,aggressive or friendly etc etc,depending on how and where they are recorded.

Just adding my two cents, but rather than "I love you, too!" I hear the entity responding to the gents saying "let me put the tape recorder down" with "I'd like you to!"
Perhaps, if the person died in a time when tape recorders did not exist yet, they wanted him to put it down so they could get a closer look?
I feel a lot of curiosity in this entity.

-and seriously, that comment (made by a poster named "zippysgal") gives another new take on it that never crossed my mind before...that the voice is actually responding to me saying I'm going to set the recorder down!
the voice could say "I'd love you to" - meaning, I'd love you to put down that weird thing in your hand!
John, thanks so much for getting this additional feedback! I really appreciate everything that all of you (here on this board) have said, too - but just getting all of these additional opinions on it has been great!
