Title: Aux Sable trip 11-11-08
Post by: Ghost1 on Nov 11 2008 - 08:06PM
I went out to Aux Sable Cemetery today with Rachel.  I took 384 pictures...wow, that's a lot to go through.  SO far I already have one that has some blueish mist on and over a tombstone?

I also made some EVP's and one of them was 30 minutes long setting in the Crypt be it's self.

Here is one of the EVP's..... something says something right towards the end, but I just haven't been able to tell what it says yet.  But there's is no doubt it's a voice, it's not background noise.

Here is the one picture that seems to have a lite blueish mist on and above the stone.

It almost sounds like she's saying, "get me out" or "help me out."

I really cannot tell -- because I'm on a laptop here at work.

I could check when I get home on my incredible surround sound speakers.

This is where I left my recorder on for 34 minutes as I walked around.  I'm still going through the recording trying to see if I caught anything.

This place looks too damn eerie -- what's the name again? I was editing a paper earlier -- so I had to help some one out.

I didn't have my time to look it up really, but I hope I can now -- be it that I'm at work.

It's called Aux Sable cemetery.  Here is a link to more info about the place: http://www.bachelors-grove.com/bgf/index.php?topic=265.0

I almost forgot, we found this pile of burnt bones in the leaves on the outer edge of the graveyard too...Kind of freaky.   ter

Either some one got really hungry, or there really are animal sacrifices there. Or in other terms, another animal got hungry and ate these things.

I don't know -- I don't want to rule ANYTHING out.

This is very strange.

Even stranger is that there was a deer's jawbone on top of the building that John left his recorder in.  I saw no jawbones in this pile, I wonder if it's from the same animal?  This mess of bones has definitely been tampered with by people.  Granted, I threw on gloves and dug through it a bit to see what kind of bones they were, and I may not have been the first to do that, but it also looked like a couple of rib bones had been burnt.

I took about 400 pictures there myself, and at first glance... I got nada.  Pretty pictures though, it's beautiful there :)

Here is the deer's jawbone on top of the building:

Hmm, could this be a place of satanic worship? Is this cemetery in a rural place too?

VERY, VERY rural.  It's in the middle of no where!

Ok, here's what I just told Rachael.  I took the EVP at the gravesite of a young women that had a pair of shoes on top of her tombstone.....and I just realized that that EVP sounds just like it's saying "My Shoes"

See what you all think?    ter

My daughter and I are avid birdwatchers here in Illinois, so I know all the birdcalls around here. The only birds that stay in winter that have nasal yank call (not a chirp or a tweet) are the Blue Jay and the nuthatch. Neither one of them make a call at all like the sound in the EVP, thus ruling out a bird. Once I listened to it after reading the part about the shoes, I almost pooped. It is clearly saying "my shoes". What do you remember about the grave with the shoes? Who was the person, when did they die, did it look like the shoes had been there long, gymshoes? Pumps? I mean women LOVE shoes, but on a grave? What's the significance? If we have the name on the tombstone and the name of the county, we can maybe find an obituary for how the person died. Strangled with her shoelaces? Bludgeoned through the eyeball with her high heel? Also, I don't usually get into EVPs too much, but this one is so clear. Is it in real time Ghost1? Did you hear anything with the naked ear when you were recording or did it just show up on tape? Awesome!!! :Y:
The blue mist pic is really neat too as the mist is def bluish, not white like a natural environmental mist from moisture would be..

Here are some pictures of her grave.

Google tells me she passed away from injuries from a car accident.   :V:

John brought up a good point, that perhaps it's in bad taste to post pictures of her grave, as she passed away so recently.  He will re-post edited pictures.

Strange. Why do you suppose there are stones around her grave and no grass growing on top? She died recently, but not recently enough for there not to be grass there. The epitaph is interesting too.

That's an interesting point about the grass, I didn't think of that, it is strange!
With the rocks and pinecones, I wonder if maybe her daughter did that?  She is 2 1/2.  I thought it looked like someone made her a necklace.

I just learned from an online blog that was maintained by her family that she was a shoe fanatic, that not only did she have a large amount of actual shoes, but also collected ceramic shoes, and that 'Shoe' was a nickname her husband gave her.

Thanks Mama!

It's probably also worth mentioning that the car accident was a hit and run, and as far as I could find he/she was never idenitified.

WOW! This keeps getting better and better! I betcha if you put a pair of Manolos on that headstone you'd really get some activity! Good research Rachael!!!

I agree Ghostlight .... about putting some nice shoes on her gravestone to see what she has to say about them? What are those shoes called that are so popular out in California right now...?....are they Chimmy Choos ? or Jimmy Choos ? I have heard a lot about them and I've asked others if they are saying jimmy or Chimmy but no one seems to know and of course I do live in a hick town...LOL But we should put some Jimmy Choos' on her grave or those others that you talked about and see if she gets excited about them! I know I'm excited about this EVP! And I think that would be a great experiment to try! If I donate $10 to buy some shoes will anyone else donate?  ;)

And by the way guys...I'm blond but I'm not that stupid....I got carried away n for got to say second hand shoes....LOL I know we can't donate brand new shoes as the "Jimmy Choos" are $200 plus for the cheap ones....LOL But we could go with Brand new Walmart Brand or some 2nd hand high styles. And let me tell ya. We have some 2nd hand clothing stores around here were you could get brand new high end shoes but I'm not there so what do you guys think about it?

That would be a neat idea but Jimmy Choo's and Manolo Blahnik's are really expensive. I think I may have a vintage European suede boot circa mid-90's that might do it. I have to dig through my shoe closet though....

She already has a pair of her shoes on the top of her marker.  And truly, after reading as much as I have about her, I'm not sure she's the type to love Manolo's and the like, the eulogy her mother gave mentioned that her favorite were her green Doc Marten boots.  I know this may sound nutty, since I didn't know her at all, but I get the feeling that her love of shoes wasn't so much for their physical beauty and structure, but for their representation of life's journey.  It's a cool idea, I'm not trying to say otherwise, just my personal impressions :)

Your probably right Racheal but then a pair of vintage boots like Ghostlight is talking about might be just the thing. It might even persuade her to converse with us if we were to each bring a pair of our own shoes there to show them to her....say our favorite pairs of shoes each.....Just to share them with her and since she is a shoe person then we could say this was our way of letting her see who each of us is/are...(syntax)  IDK  Anyway....just an idea.  I have Doc Martens also....lol They are the best when it comes to climbing on trailers in the middle of winter for inspection.....LOL

This is the first I've heard of someone else having pics of a blue light in a picture! che  I was going to dismiss mine like the orb theories but maybe my pics have something to them?  They are of the Rock of Cashel (Ireland) and the wall has a blue glob which was caught in two different views in the same area.   There were also many blue hazy places in other pictures around the church itself. The Rock has a rough past as it was a site fought over for years.  The last effort ended with a large fire, the roof collapsing and many perishing within. Going to give the insert picture a try and hope it comes out good enough to view.  Not as beautiful as these other pics- Ghost1 has a great talent!- but hopefully you will all enjoy if for nothing else it is a lovely ruin.  Also, has anyone captured an orb with a red color?  I have one of those in the basement of a ruin in Scotland.  Just curious about it.

Irishlass, your blue light pictures look like a fairly common occurrence on pictures taken in high sunlight. It's called a lens flare. If you do an image search for the term "lens flare" you'll see a ton of pictures that demonstrate the same thing as seen in your pictures.

Outstanding ruins though! I'd love to meander around them for days on end, get a glimpse of what life was like back then.
