Know any places?

Hey hey, since I'm kinda new to the forums and ghost hunting/urban exploring..I was wondering if any of you guys know of any insane hospitals/asylums here in Illinois? I've always been interested in exploring abandoned buildings and such. Any recommendation(s) will be appreciated. Thanks!  :)

My friends have been chatting about a place called Manteno, supposed to be abandoned and haunted.
Don't know if it's open to the public, but it didn't stop them from fooling around inside.
