Yes, I know this story very well, I've never seen her but I've been there quite a few times.  When I was a teenager we used to drive by that place all the time hoping she would come out..............She never did though.

I have picture from there too, I'll post them.

Nope can't find out. They took her name off the records in the cemetary for privacy reasons.

I have been there too and no avail on seeing Mary......... I wish I would though.  Maybe this summer

Ghost .... you never told me about Resurection Cemetary or Resurection Mary!! Had you not heard of it?? We will have to drive by there on our way home from  BG when I get to Chicago!! This is a cool legend!

Yes, I know all about that, have been there quite a few times.  I went there with my brother the same day I took him to Bachelor's Grove.

My whole family is buried there. It is a a peaceful cemetary

What is astonishing to me is that this man danced with her.... touched her. He says that her hands were like a corpse and yet her corpse was rotting in the grave. This was a ghost! How could she have been that solid? How could she be solid one moment and vanish into the other relm the next moment. What an incredible story. And it adds more questions to the notion of ghostly aparitions than it answers.   

Never-the-less... it's a remarkable story with many credible witness'.  And you can't help but believe this man when he says that he went to the door of this woman in 1939 and Mary's mother answered the door were he then sees a picture of Mary and is told that she died 5 years earlier. The name matched and he says the picture matched.  I love this story.

Another interesteing fact I just remembered was that our aunt Roseann on our Dad's side of the family used to work at Resurection Cemetary. She one told me that Mary's real name was Mary Bagovi and that she was buried in an unmarked grave. Once my grandfather took me there and showed me the finger marks melted in to the gates. It looked so real! I remember him saying that they tried to fix the gates but they kept coming back. This was a long time ago but it is interesting! I used to love Unsolved Mysteries! I wonder if its still an active show. If so it would be great if they did a Bachelor's Grove show! Unfortuneatly I looked online and they are not accepting new stories at this time. Apparently the host Robert Stack passed away in 2003 of heart failure  I used to love that guy!
